Make it Happen May - Season of Resetting
Make it Happen May- Post COVID19
What are you doing to better yourself during this season of resetting?
Hello and welcome back to Doses of Uniqueness. Today, I woke up blessed, once again. I felt energized, skin was glowing...favor was given!
I started off my morning with a nice glass of Lemon water and my "Keys to a Blessed Life" devotional by Rick Warren. This devotional has really blessed me. The devotional talks about Conflict Resolution, Steps to Maintaining your Integrity, Characteristics of Mercy....and today devotional was titled "Who's the Real Source of Opposition?" OMG...when I tell you these devotionals have been blessing me, Listen!
"It's not other people. It's not your coworkers, it's not a political party, it's not some other nation or religion, it's not a competitor. The pressure you feel to cave in or be quiet or sit down when you should stand up, that pressure is not coming from other people. It's really coming from Satan."
Satan's number 1 job is to put us down. Satan knows it's stupid to attack Jesus Christ directly, so instead he attacks those who follow him. I have allowed Satan to put me down for way too long.
I have dealt with spiritual warfare and I can honestly say that during this Season of Rest, I have found peace. I am genuinely happy. Life is too short to be miserable and unhappy.
During this pandemic, I have reconnected with long time friends and families, I have met new people who have fed into me and motivated to me do new things and step out of my comfort zone.
As I spoke on in previous IG post and blog post, I have learned to be a receiver and "mind the business that minds me". I have learned to set boundaries, learned how to say "no" and know that "no" is a complete sentence, and not to be afraid to learn new things. I am trying to be intentional about the people and things in my life. Removing things that don't bring me joy or people who are drain me ...which leads to disruption in peace and the inner work I am doing. I am tired of having a pity party!! Over it!
I'm so excited for my new journey! This blog is something that I can honestly say that I birth during COVID19. I am so happy for my tribe who are here to help and see "Dosesofuniqueness Succeed.
Today, I have the pleasure of working/standing watch with a wonderful young lady. She was 26, but wise beyond her age. We spoke on Mental health, ways to release, goals, aspirations, life after the Navy, relationship...omg so much. She made that watch go by so fast, because she was feeding and stimulating some ideas and things that I wish I was thinking about when I was her age! But thank God for mercy..because I am now pondering on them and coming up with a plan.
I leave you with a few pictures from earlier (watch standing uniform)
