More Joy In July
#JoyfulJuly - More Joy in July!
DosDoses
Doses of Uniqueness theme for the month of July is "More Joy"
Welcome back to another #DosesofUniqueness!
Today is July 1, 2020! OMG, can you believe it. The month of June just seemed to fly by....well at least for me.
I woke up today...BLESS and GRATEFUL! I am so thankful for life and health. Theses last couple of months have been filled with chaos...enough to make me actual not appreciate the small joys in life.
Last month, I wrote and shared my goals for June. I accomplished some, but not all of them. I have stayed consistent with getting up early and reading my devotionals daily. I really stepped my planner game up and have been planning and scheduling events so I don't over task myself. I've stayed consistent with the organizing and purging...however, I still need to get rid of some foundation that I am not using...(just hate to throw away 40-60 dollar foundations..the struggle), I did post two podcast and a Youtube video.. However, I did not work out as much as I would like....I didn't journal daily, didn't reach my read books goal...(insert sad face)
I have noticed that when I write my goals down...or anything down...and I don't accomplish it...I have a tendency of feeling defeated....my joy is depleted little.
But my devotional this morning and or the month of July is "Transformed-How God Changes Us" by Rich Warren directed me into a new way of viewing "Goals".
What kind Goals does God Bless? Yesterday I was prepping my Goldmine and CoCo 2020 Goals journal for the month of July and wrote down a few of the same things I had listed in the month of June. The devotional reminded me that God is not going to bless a Goal that is motivated by greed, jealously or envy. I must be honest, some of my goals were based on what I saw other achieve or accomplish and with the fear of missing out mentality, I copied them...which my motives were not coming from the most "Christlike Heart". I would see my friends or associates doing something...and boom...I would want to do it... Still learning the everything is not for everyone!
The devotional went on to say that there are three things I need to have in order to reach out goals.
1) I need God's word. I need God's spirit to empower me. I get to plan the way I would like or want to live...but only God can give me the power and energy to actually make that transformation. I have to trust God.
2) I need God's work to guide me. Reading and studying his word will lead to a successful and fulfilled life.
3) I need God's people to support me. I am so bless and full of joy to actually have tribe/squad of supporters in my life. People I personally know and strangers whom I have met on this new journey.
So I encourage you to find #Joy this month...in the little things. Set your OWN goals!
Until next time!
